Day 59-Delaware Water Gap to Rattlesnake Spring-13.4 Miles

Day 59-Delaware Water Gap to Rattlesnake Spring-13.4 Miles

Headed out of Delaware Water Gap today and going to a campsite next to Rattlesnake Spring and that's what we saw a lot of, rattlesnakes. Leaving Delaware Water Gap also crossed another state off our list, Pennsylvania down, into New Jersey. The hike out was interesting, we crossed a bridge that was about a mile long and passed 10-15 campsites along the way where people were

Day 58-Leroy A. Smith Shelter to Delaware Water Gap-20.3 Miles

Day 58-Leroy A. Smith Shelter to Delaware Water Gap-20.3 Miles

After getting a late start leaving the shelter, we decided to head the 20.3 miles to Delaware Water Gap. It was a pretty uneventful day. We ended up staying at the Pocono Lodge in Delaware Water Gap with Marathon John and And Stuff. This hotel was the worst place we had stayed in yet. Never stay here.

Day 57-Leaving Mrs. Martorano to Leroy A. Smith Shelter 10.8 Miles

Day 57-Leaving Mrs. Martorano to Leroy A. Smith Shelter 10.8 Miles

Today we sadly left Mrs. Martorano and headed back into the wild. Thank you for everything Mrs. Martorano, it was great spending time with you and we really appreciate everything you did for us. It definitely gave us a post in moral to see you, thanks again. Once back on the trail we ran into some old friends, And Stuff, T-1000 and Marathon John. It rained on us some on our way to the shelter but nothing too bad, a pretty uneventful day.

Day 56-Leaving Palmerton and meeting up with Mike's Mom-4.8 Miles

Day 56-Leaving Palmerton and meeting up with Mike's Mom-4.8 Miles

Today was one of the most fun days on the trail. The terrain was rocky and tough but a lot of fun. After the rocks, there was a trail called the SuperFund Trail which was flat and covered with great views and wild blueberries and blackberries. We were also getting picked up by Mike's mom and going to a nice hotel, one that didn't have bedbugs and mice for a change. Tons of pictures from this short day.
