Day 44-Antietam Shelter-15.6 Miles
We finally got out of Waynesboro around 12:30 or so and hit the trail. We had a lot of options to stay at this today because there were shelters every few miles or so which was a great convenience. We ended up staying at Antietam Shelter where a group of 15 or so other people were already camping. They were only going to be hiking for the weekend so they let us use the shelter and were generous enough to share their chocolate with us. One of the guys even killed some of the spiders that were in the shelter. Not a bad day of hiking, it did rain on us a little but not too badly.
