Day 38-Heading into Harpers Ferry-20.4 Miles
We woke up today by our new friends Riley and Cade's buddy who lived nearby and wanted to take them to breakfast. Quickly our minds started wondering if this guy could slack pack us to Harpers Ferry, which thankfully he could and did. Already we know its going to be a great day. With no packs on us, we left Bears Den Hostel around 10:00am with 20.4 miles until Harpers ferry and only 3.1 miles left until we were out of Virginia. After 535 miles we would finally be leaving the longest state on the Appalachian Trail. It was a great state but it feels like you've accomplished something when you cross over state lines. We also knew that tomorrow we would be going into Washington D.C. for 2 days so it was another thing to look forward to.
